FISH BINDER
Family Involvement Starts Here

The FISH binder is a way to organize your child’s homework, study guides/newsletters, special notes, and important papers/forms.  It should be checked EVERY DAY.   It is simply a one inch 2-pocket binder that is to be taken to and from school every day.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Left pocket - TAKE HOME - Papers to LEAVE at home (newsletters, notes, classwork, etc.)
  • Right pocket  -  RETURN – Homework and papers to complete & return (Including graded papers/forms that need to be signed and returned)
  • Study Guides - There are a few page protectors with study guides, newsletters, and word lists.  These need to be studied EVERY NIGHT.

Student’s Responsibilities:

  • Take home folder with papers in correct pockets.
  • Take out contents from left pocket and share with parents.  (These papers stay home!)
  • Complete contents in right pocket and return to the folder.
  • Bring folder back to school, and turn in completed homework and other forms.
